Brahms
Sonata in F minor for two pianos, Op. 34bis
IV. Poco sostenuto - Allegro non troppo - Presto non troppo

Martha Argerich & Lilya Zilberstein
Lugano 2002

Brahms’ Op. 34 began as a string quintet, but was later recast as a sonata for two pianos which the composer performed alongside Carl Tausig. Eventually it became a piano quintet—so this isn’t even its final form.

Such a cool piece. Also really cool as piano quintet. Can’t decide which version I like better!
